This will be an unforgettable 4-day desert adventure, taking you from the coastal city of Agadir to the stunning dunes of Erg Chegaga. During this tour, you’ll experience breathtaking landscapes and visit historical sites that you may be seeing for the first time in your life.
The journey begins with a visit to Taroudant, often called “Little Marrakesh.” Here, you’ll explore the old town, wander through its lively traditional markets, and have the chance to take photos of its impressive historic walls.
Next, we’ll head to Taliouine, where we’ll visit the famous Saffron Museum to learn more about this precious spice. After that, we’ll make our way to the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Ait Ben Haddou, known for its unique architecture and rich history.
The tour continues through the Draa Valley, a stunning area lined with lush palm trees and ancient kasbahs. We’ll also visit Zagora, the last stop before entering the vast desert, where we’ll explore the traditional green pottery cooperatives in the village of Tamegroute.
One of the highlights of your time in the Zagora desert will be a camel ride across the golden dunes of Erg Lehoudi and the remote sands of Erg Chegaga. You’ll witness a magical sunset from the top of the dunes, where the sky turns into a canvas of colors. In the evening, you’ll enjoy traditional music under the stars and spend a memorable night in a cozy Berber tent at a desert camp surrounded by towering sand dunes.
Finally, we’ll return to Agadir, bringing with us unforgettable memories of the desert and its adventures that will stay with you for a long time.
Day 1: Agadir- Talouine-Foum Zguid-Erg Chegaga
Your desert journey starts early in the morning. Your driver will pick you up from your hotel in Agadir, and you will start driving to the Talouine area. Along the way, you will see beautiful views as you head towards the large dunes of the Erg Chigaga .Your first stop will be in the Talouine area, a small town famous for saffron. You will take a break here to enjoy a cup of authentic Moroccan tea with saffron. After that, you will continue to Foum Zguid , where you will stop for lunch. As soon as you eat, the adventure really starts as you drive your off-road car towards the sand dunes. On the way, we will pass the dry Eriki Lake, a flat and dry area that looks amazing in the photos. We will stop to take souvenir photos before heading to Erg Chegaga
In the afternoon, we will have reached Erg Chegaga and there you will ride a camel from the camp to the sand dunes to watch the amazing sunset in the desert. At night, you will enjoy traditional drum music under a starry sky. You will spend the night in the camp, surrounded by the peace and beauty of the desert.

Day 2 : Chegaga dunes –Mhamid- Zagora- Agdez
Your second day sounds like an incredible journey through Morocco's stunning landscapes. Waking up to the first light on the dunes of Erg Chegaga must be a magical experience, As the sun rises, its golden light spreads across the endless sand, making the desert shine with warm, glowing colors. The tranquility and beauty of the desert at dawn are truly inspiring. We will go ahead towards Mhamid village, which adds an adventurous touch to the trip, as you leave the dunes behind and reconnect with the paved road. Mhamid, known as the "Gateway to the Desert," marks the transition from the wilderness to more settled areas.
A visit to Tamgroute, especially its famous pottery factory, is a highlight. Exploring the traditional process of creating the region's unique green-glazed pottery is a fascinating cultural experience. The craftsmanship and history behind this art form are deeply rooted in the local heritage. Continuing through the Draa Valley, with its lush palm groves and ancient kasbahs, offers a striking contrast to the desert landscapes. The valley is a testament to the resilience of life in this arid region. Finally, arriving in Zagora, the capital of the Draa Valley, provides a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a well-deserved lunch. Zagora is renowned for its historical importance as a trade and travel hub in the region. This day is a beautiful blend of natural wonders, cultural exploration, and adventure, making it a memorable part of your journey through Morocco!
After lunch, we'll travel through the Draa Valley, enjoying the beautiful palm trees along the way, before reaching our accommodation nestled in the heart of the valley.
Day 3 : Agdez-Ouarzazate- Ait Ben Haddou
To enjoy more of the beauty of the valley, we will take a walking tour among the palm trees before heading to Ouarzazate, which in turn is distinguished by the cinema industry. Here, we will explore the main attractions, including the historic Taourirt Kasbah and the famous film studio. Later, we continue to Ait Ben Haddou, a charming city with one of the oldest stars in the South, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1987. This iconic location has served as a backdrop for many World films. We will visit the palace at sunset before returning to our hotel for a night in Ait Ben Haddou.
Day 4 : Ait Ben Haddou- Taznakht- Agadir
On our final day together, we’ll set out for Taznakht, a charming town celebrated for its beautiful handmade carpets. Here, you’ll have the chance to explore local workshops and see how these intricate carpets are crafted by skilled artisans. After soaking in the culture of Taznakht, we’ll begin our journey back, passing through the picturesque towns of Talouin and Taroudant. Along the way, we’ll make plenty of stops so you can capture the breathtaking landscapes of southern Morocco—rolling hills, vast desert plains, and maybe even a glimpse of traditional Berber villages.
As the day winds down, we’ll make our way to Agadir, where we’ll drop you off at your hotel. It’s always bittersweet to say goodbye, but we hope the memories of this desert adventure—the golden dunes, the starry nights, and the warm hospitality—will stay with you for a lifetime.
